This Advent season, Redemption Tempe will scatter throughout the city to partner with 14 incredible organizations and serve our neighbors. We’re amazed and grateful—over 700 spots have already been filled!

  • Our FMSC Team will pack life-saving meals for children in need around the world through Feed My Starving Children.

    What You'll Do:

    • Meal Packing: Measure, scoop, and seal food packages for shipment.

    *Limited to 200 volunteers

  • Location: Feed My Starving Children (1100 West Grove Parkway Suite 101, Tempe)

    Time: 8:30AM – 11AM

    Age Range: ages 5 & up

  • Feed My Starving Children (FMSC) is a Christian nonprofit organization dedicated to feeding hungry children around the world — both physically and spiritually. Through volunteer-packed, nutritionally complete meals and strong global partnerships, FMSC brings hope to communities struggling with extreme hunger.

  • Our Hope Women’s Team will serve women in the community by cleaning areas of the center and sorting and preparing toys and gifts for the Christmas Boutique where women get to shop for gifts for their children.

    What You'll Do:

    • Organize and label toys and gifts for the center’s upcoming Christmas boutique

    • Help with cleaning projects to keep the center safe and welcoming.

  • Location: Hope Women’s Center (1640 E McDowell Rd, Phoenix)

    Time: 8:30AM – 11:30AM

    Age Range: Middle school & up

  • Hope Women’s Center is a faith-based, trauma-informed nonprofit providing free education classes, mentoring, counseling, and practical resources to vulnerable women and teen girls across six Arizona communities. For over 40 years, they’ve engaged, encouraged, and equipped women facing crisis to heal, discover their worth, and build brighter futures.

  • Our Thew Elementary Team will assist with deep cleaning, sorting books, and fixing up classrooms at Thew Elementary.

    What You'll Do:

    • Deep Clean: Dust, sweep, and sanitize learning spaces, the teacher’s lounge, and the playground

    • Sort Books: Organize classroom and library materials.

    Age Range: Middle school & up

  • Thew Elementary aims to offer a safe, inclusive, and nurturing environment where all students can flourish. Through diverse instructional methods and a focus on equity and excellence, they aim to cultivate creativity, leadership, and achievement in every child.

  • The Elder Care Team will join together in serving the senior members of our community through heartfelt house visits.

    What You'll Do:

    • Spend quality time with seniors in their homes, offering companionship and support.

    • Help with light cleaning, organization, and completing small projects.

    • Bring homemade treats to share, spreading joy and warmth during your visits.

    • Engage in friendly conversation, listen to their stories, and provide companionship.

  • Makers of Care is a faith‑based nonprofit dedicated to supporting family caregivers who often feel overwhelmed, isolated, and under‑resourced. Through community, compassion, and Christ‑centered programs, we seek to encourage and equip caregivers so they can regain hope, strength, and connection in even the most challenging seasons.

  • The Hope for the Homeless Team will package the supplies for HOPE bags filled with all the daily essentials needed: toiletries, first aid kit, sunscreen, lip balm, socks, survival blanket, scripture reading, and a resource guide.

  • HOPE for the Homeless is a nonprofit with a mission to make a lasting impact on the homeless throughout Arizona. They shine light in our community by feeding the homeless who are hungry, meeting the homeless in their recovery journey, and loving the homeless for who they are, where they are.

  • The SHP Building Team will come together for hands-on woodworking, where you'll help build bunk beds for families in our community! No Tools are Needed & No Experience Necessary! Whether you're a seasoned DIYer or trying woodworking for the first time, all skill levels are welcome. The project brings people closer together as we work toward the same goal… helping children Sleep in Heavenly Peace.

    What You'll Do:

    • Use Woodworking Tools (saws, drills, sanders, etc)

    • Measure, level, cut, and stain, and brand wood

    • Wear closed toe shoes

  • Location: SHP Site (5125 E Madison St, Phoenix, AZ)

    Time: 7AM – 12PM

    Age Range: Ages 12 & up

  • Sleep in Heavenly Peace (SHP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing beds to children in underserved communities. Its more than 350 chapters across North America build and deliver beds, ensuring that every child has a safe and comfortable place to sleep. SHP firmly believes that a bed is a fundamental need for a child's physical, emotional, and mental well-being. Currently, have over 4,000 kids waiting for beds in our Valley!

  • The SHP Blanket Team will spend a creative and impactful morning crafting knotted blankets. These cozy blankets will be included in bundles sent to Sleep in Heavenly Peace. No experience needed!

    What You'll Do:

    • Craft Knotted Blankets: Volunteers will craft fleece fabric into warm, soft blankets. (No experience needed—guidance will be provided!)

    • We will have an assembly line of activities – from sewing on a sewing machine, to cutting fleece, to knotting fleece, to bundling it all together.

    • Family-Friendly: Kids are welcome to join in!  There will also be a drawing and bracelet table.

  • The McClintock Team* will help create a welcoming environment for students and teachers.

    What you'll be doing:

    • Clean up classrooms and organize supplies

    • Refresh and fix up learning spaces

  • In a community where 36% of students come from low‑income families, McClintock High School works to level the playing field by creating a safe and supportive environment, engaging families and local partners, and promoting access to opportunities for all.

  • The MentorKids Team* will serve a warm breakfast to low-income families while creating holiday joy through fun activities and a Christmas party.

    What You'll Do:

    • Serve Breakfast: Help cook, serve, and share meals with families in the community.

    • Plan Activities: Lead games, crafts, and fun projects to bring families and church members together.

    • Celebrate Christmas: Support the MentorKids Christmas Party, making it a special day for children and families.

  • The Tempe Promise Neighborhood is a MentorKids USA‑initiative dedicated to empowering student success in Tempe through a full suite of supportive educational and enrichment programming. It builds on MentorKids’ model of Promise Neighborhoods, which pair high‐quality after‑school, summer, and enrichment programs to help children excel both inside and outside the classroom.

  • The Welcome Team will help local refugee families as they set up their new apartment. Volunteers will assist with moving boxes, unpacking, and arranging furniture. This is a great opportunity to meet our community's newest neighbors and extend a warm welcome to them as they begin their journey in Phoenix.

  • Welcome to America Project (WTAP) serves refugees who have recently been relocated to the Phoenix area through the U.S. State Department. They create meaningful interactions and provide much-needed resources that empower our new neighbors to reach self-sufficiency and positively impact the community. WTAP has welcomed more than 15,000 refugees from over 40 countries.

  • Our Rio Vista Team will kick off the day by helping with morning food distribution, then spread holiday cheer by hosting a festive Christmas party for community members and families!

  • Rio Vista Center is a Community Resource Center*, that responds compassionately to the needs of the Phoenix Valley, supporting local communities with food, clothing, and other resources while providing hope and care to everyone they serve.

  • Our Foster Care Team* will bring Christmas cheer to young adults aging out of foster care by preparing gifts, making decorations, and enjoying festive crafts.

    What You’ll Do:

    • Gift Wrapping: Help wrap donated presents for young adults aging out of foster care. 

    • Craft Ornaments & Kits: Make ornaments and assemble hot cocoa kits.

    • Encouragement & Prayer: Volunteers will also provide prayer and encouragement for young adults.

  • Location: New Culture (1030 E Indianola Ave, Phoenix)

    Time: 8:30AM – 12PM

    Age Range: ages 10 & up

  • New Culture is a nonprofit in Arizona dedicated to empowering young adults aging out of foster care by providing safe housing, life skills training, therapy, mentorship, and workforce development. With 35+ housing sites in Phoenix, Mesa, and Tucson, they serve over 100 youth each year—ensuring stability, dignity, and opportunities for flourishing.

  • Our Brunch Team will serve brunch at a workshop designed for widows in the community, providing food, cheer, and support.

    What You'll Do:

    • Assist with setting up, serving, and cleaning up brunch.

    • Offer encouragement and fellowship to all attending.

    • Create a warm, caring atmosphere through food and presence.

  • Paisley Project embraces widows following the loss of a spouse, using evidence-based resources, community and coaching to empower widows to navigate grief, redefine their identities, and engage in future possibilities.

  • Our Pregnancy Care Team will assemble care kits for expecting mothers and families supported by the Pregnancy Care Center. Help inventory and tidy up the Baby Boutique!

    What You'll Do:

    • Assemble Kits with baby supplies, hygiene items, and encouragement cards.

    • Inventory and tidy up the baby boutique so staff can restock for clients for 2026.

    *Limited to 15 volunteers

  • Location: Pregnancy Care Center of Chandler (590 N. Alma School Rd, Suite 20, Chandler)

    Time: 8AM – 11:30AM

    Age Range: Grade school & up

  • The Pregnancy Care Center of Chandler is a nonprofit providing free, compassionate care—including pregnancy testing, ultrasounds, and options counseling—to individuals facing unplanned pregnancy. Their programs support parents through education while providing essential baby items, all delivered with warmth, dignity, and faith-based care.

  • Our Spellers Team will celebrate Christmas with students at a school serving nonverbal autistic students. Details of the party activities will be provided on-site.

    What You'll Do:

    • Help set up, decorate, and guide activities.

    • Engage with children in meaningful and supportive ways.

    • Be part of bringing holiday joy to students and staff.

  • Speller’s Academy empowers nonspeaking students to access education through spelled communication. They provide a supportive, inclusive environment where every student is respected, heard, and given the tools to thrive.

  • Our City Hope team will set up a marketplace, pray with families, and serve the local homeless community.

  • City Hope is a ministry of Citypoint Church that offers compassion, dignity, and support to those in need in our community. Through relief markets and outreach programs, they provide essential resources alongside hope and care — all in Jesus’ name.
