deacons

< Leadership

The role of a deacon is not explicitly defined in scripture, but is often linked to Acts 6, where deacons help with administration and mercy ministry. Deacons are generally seen as assistants in church ministry, handling tasks that are not reserved for elders. They work under the authority of elders, who commission them to assist in specific areas of service within the church, with their duties varying based on the needs of the congregation.
