Prayer + Action: Immigration
Rather than issuing statements or prescribing political positions, Redemption Tempe is committing to a slower, Scripture-shaped path of prayer, formation, and local faithfulness around immigration.
PRAYER & ACTION TEAM: IMMIGRATION
Prayer & Action Teams create space for people to respond to complex issues through prayer, learning, and faithful action.
Participants aim to pray regularly for those impacted by immigration, grow in understanding through discussion and reflection, and discern practical ways to love their neighbors.
Together, the group seeks a Gospel-shaped response marked by humility, wisdom, and sustained faithfulness in our community.
We welcome a diversity of perspectives, united by a shared commitment to Jesus and a desire to be formed by Scripture together.
all of life podcast: Immigration
How should Christians respond to immigration headlines without becoming pundits or going silent?
Pastors Warren, Jim, and John walk through the pressure to post, the difference between quick reactions and prayerful responses, leading a diverse church through tension, and what Scripture says about caring for the sojourner and honoring government. They finish with practical paths for faithful change and invite you into a Prayer and Action Team.
lament for our nation
During our Sunday service on February 1, Pastor Jake led our church in a prayer of lament for our nation. Lament is a biblical practice that invites us to bring grief, confusion, and longing before God with honesty and hope. As we witness division, suffering, and uncertainty around us, this moment of prayer helps us turn to God together — trusting His mercy, justice, and faithfulness.
JOIN US IN PRAYER
As we step into this work of prayer and action, we ask God to grow our compassion for our neighbors and to guide our church in wisdom, humility, and love. May He use Redemption Tempe to be a faithful presence in our community–bringing hope, pursuing justice, and pointing people to Jesus.
