Celebrate Recovery: Women's Step Study

Celebrate Recovery: Women's Step Study

The Women's Step Study is a Jesus-centered, intense, intimate small group where we meet weekly (for 2 hours) to discuss our hurts, habits, and hangups, learning to be more honest with ourselves and our community. Each week, we introduce ourselves, review the small group guidelines, read the 12 steps or 8 principles, read stories of freedom and healing, review our homework, and pray together. It is not reading-heavy, but it is emotionally heavy. We estimate 1-3 hours of homework each week, which fluctuates depending on the step (some steps require more time than others). Each participant will be required to find a sponsor to help them with their recovery. The Step Study leaders will help with resources and where to seek out sponsors. Please remember that this is a 9-12 month-long commitment. As we build out our Celebrate Recovery program at church, we will offer Step Studies again in the future, so if the timing does not work out right now, please know that you will have another chance

First Wednesday: The Gospel According to Netflix

First Wednesday: The Gospel According to Netflix

First Wednesday is our monthly gathering to reflect on faith and culture. This month, we will reflect on popular streaming series and TV shows. We will intentionally examine the ways in which these visual experiences mold our thoughts and worldview. We will discern their messages, and seek to understand how they align or contrast with the Biblical Story. This event isn’t just for people who are interested in these particular shows, but it’s an opportunity to learn how to watch any series with a redemptive lens.
