Celebrate Recovery: Women's Step Study

Celebrate Recovery: Women's Step Study

The Women's Step Study is a Jesus-centered, intense, intimate small group where we meet weekly (for 2 hours) to discuss our hurts, habits, and hangups, learning to be more honest with ourselves and our community. Each week, we introduce ourselves, review the small group guidelines, read the 12 steps or 8 principles, read stories of freedom and healing, review our homework, and pray together. It is not reading-heavy, but it is emotionally heavy. We estimate 1-3 hours of homework each week, which fluctuates depending on the step (some steps require more time than others). Each participant will be required to find a sponsor to help them with their recovery. The Step Study leaders will help with resources and where to seek out sponsors. Please remember that this is a 9-12 month-long commitment. As we build out our Celebrate Recovery program at church, we will offer Step Studies again in the future, so if the timing does not work out right now, please know that you will have another chance

First Wednesday: The Gospel According to Netflix

First Wednesday: The Gospel According to Netflix

First Wednesday is our monthly gathering to reflect on faith and culture. This month, we will reflect on popular streaming series and TV shows. We will intentionally examine the ways in which these visual experiences mold our thoughts and worldview. We will discern their messages, and seek to understand how they align or contrast with the Biblical Story. This event isn’t just for people who are interested in these particular shows, but it’s an opportunity to learn how to watch any series with a redemptive lens.

R/Moms Gathering

R/Moms Gathering

At Redemption we love to say “All of Life is All for Jesus”, but as moms we know that statement can easily become “All of Life is All for Our Kids.” Diaper changes, school pick-ups, laundry, meal prepping, bedtimes... our endless to-do lists of mundane tasks can make it hard to see the divine work done each day. At Redemption Moms, our goal is to reorient our view and place Christ back at the center of everything we do and reimagine our work as moms in light of the gospel.

Join us on the 2nd and 4th Wednesday of each month (starting January 10th) from 9:00AM-11:30AM at Redemption Tempe with childcare provided for a small fee.

Men's and Women's Bible Studies

Men's and Women's Bible Studies

The book of Revelation generates the most interest, curiosity, and confusion at the same time. As we launch our Revelation sermon series, we want to dive into the book as a church. Our Bible studies for the Fall will be studying Revelation, but we are changing the format a little bit. Men and women will gather together on Wednesday nights at 6:30pm to hear teaching from a pastor or leader from our church. Then we will divide into different rooms on campus to do the study/discussion portion in gender specific groups. At the end of the evening, everyone will come back together for Q&R with the pastor/leader. Participants will be responsible for securing a copy of N.T. Wright's Revelation, which costs $12 new on Amazon and $6 on Kindle (feel free to get your copy elsewhere!). Childcare is available at a small cost. This Bible study runs for the 12 weeks between 9/20 and 12/13, but we will take off for First Wednesdays and the Renewal Night on 10/4, 10/18, and 11/1.
